Since graduate school at SU, I have enjoyed a great career writing. Most of my career I've been at The Syracuse Newspapers, for the last 10 years covering religion and ethics. Before that I worked as an editor and freelancer for many years. I've edited books and magazine articles and still dabble in a little free-lance editing.  My work has taken me to numerous places in the US to cover stories; I've also been to Hawaii and Rome, Italy, on assignment.  After more than 20 happy years living near downtown Syracuse, I moved home about a year and a half ago to take care of my mother, who has advanced Alzheimer's disease. I still work part-time at the paper, but much of my time is spent with Mom, helping her enjoy life the best she can.
